From I95, N or S bound:
Take the exit for 676W, get off at 8th st, turn left on Vine St, right
on 13th, left on Buttonwood, which is one block south of Spring Garden.
(Therefore, if you pass Spring Garden you've gone too far). 1315 Buttonwood
is a half block in on the right side of the street.
From I76 (the Schuylkill Expressway) E or W bound:
Exit to 676E, then take Broad St exit. At the top of the ramp (15th St)
get in the middle of the 5 lanes, go straight ahead 2 blocks, passing
Broad St, to 13th St. Turn left on 13th, left on Buttonwood, as above.
From eastbound on Spring Garden St.:
Go right on 12th St, right on Buttonwood, then go 1 1/2 blocks to 1315

From Philadelphia International Airport and I-95 North:
Follow signs to I-95 North towards Philadelphia. Take the exit for I-76
West. Follow directions below From I-76.
From Ben Franklin Bridge:
Exit bridge in the left lane. As you approach the traffic light after
the bridge, you should be in the 2nd or 3rd lane from the left (the far
left lane is the exit for 8th Street). These lanes take you onto 676 West.
Follow 676 West past the Museum Area exit. Take the next right lane exit
(exit only) for I-76 East (towards Phila. Int'l Airport). Once on I-76,
immediately work your way over to the left lane. The next exit is for
South Street. Follow directions below From I-76.
From Walt Whitman Bridge:
After the bridge, get on I-76 West. Follow directions below From I-76.
From I-76 (the Schuylkill Expressway):
From I-76E: Take exit 40, South Street (this is a left exit). Turn right
at the top of the ramp onto South St, which in few blocks at a bend in
the road will change to Spruce Street. Stay on Spruce St. for 12 or so
blocks past 42nd St. The University City Arts League, 4226 Spruce, is
between 42nd and 43rd Streets on the left side of the street. It's one
in a block of large Victorian houses. Find parking along the street. Do not park in CVS lot on 43rd St., they do tow.
From I-76W, ie approaching from the Philadelphia International Airport,
take the South St exit, but turn left at the top of the ramp and proceed
as above.
